Northern California offers incredible opportunities for ranch wedding venues. From gorgeous barns to rolling hills filled with oak trees to epic views of Mount Shasta, the Redding area has a ton to offer for your wedding day.
Little Bear Creek Ranch
This gorgeous venue is a short, 10-minute drive east of Anderson, California. I am always so excited when I get an opportunity to shoot a wedding here! The venue features a huge barn for a reception space that can host up to 300 guests. The ranch is located amongst rolling hills of oak trees as far as the eye can see offering incredible views for your wedding ceremony. A cute little two-story farmhouse sits adjacent to the barn with a photo-worthy getting ready space for your bridal party!
The Bluff Private Event Venue
The Bluff offers the perfect rustic, ranch vibes for the western wedding of your dreams. This venue is just a short drive from Red Bluff, California and has recently came into new ownership. The new owners have been working on amazing new upgrades including a new getting ready space! When speaking with this venue be sure to ask about getting couples photos with Longhorn cattle (a personal favorite experience of mine from last fall!)
Gover Ranch
Gover Ranch is another wedding venue with an incredible barn reception space. This ranch offers multiple different ceremony location sites as well separate getting ready locations for the bridal party. The property features an orchard, open grassy fields, and lush, flower-filled gardens. This family-owned and operated event venue offers plenty of versatility to host your unique wedding. Also golden-hour photos in the fields next to the barn are northing short of amazing!

The Barn at Pheasant Trail Ranch
The Barn at Pheasant Trail Ranch is probably the prettiest barn I have ever seen. When I arrived at this venue for the first time I could not wait to take ALL of the couple and bridal party photos in front of the barn. The Barn is situated in the middle of an orchard in the outskirts of Chico. There is a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour space just outside of the barn amongst the trees. The reception space and kitchen are located inside the barn on the lower story, while the getting ready space is located in the loft.
Bar 717 Ranch
This venue is a hidden gem located deep in the mountains of Trinity County. In the summer the ranch is home to a summer camp for children from all over the world, but in the spring it hosts some of the most unique and beautiful weddings in the north state. The family owned 450-acre ranch boasts stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is home to horses, cattle, and other livestock. Hayfork creek, a suspension bridge, weeping willow trees, historic barns, ponds, meadows, and a brand new kitchen facility are just some of the things that Bar 717 has to offer. There are also cabins and camping for guests, and the venue can be rented for an entire weekend of fun!
The Red Barn
Looking for more rustic charm? The Red Barn Wedding Venue is situated in an orchard in Los Molinos, California (about 30 minutes north of Chico). This venue is packed with different photo locations and offers all-inclusive packages that even include tables, chairs, a DJ, and bartender! If you’re planning a wedding with a classy, country vibe, this may just be the perfect spot!
Oak Hollow Farms
Wow, okay, another stunning venue with a barn? Northern California is blessed with all of these amazing ranch wedding venues. Oak Hollow Farms is located in Orland and features a gorgeous white barn, groom suite, and a massive bridal suite.
Heart S Ranch
Heart S Ranch is located in the outskirts of Cottonwood, California amongst rolling hills filled with oak trees. This area is especially incredible during the spring when everything is blooming! The venue offers tables, chairs, setup/takedown service, getting ready locations, and more!
Iron Horse Unlimited
Last, but definitely not least, is Iron Horse Unlimited LLC. This unique wedding venue is located at the base of Mount Shasta. This venue is known for a key feature – a giant tree stump that couples exchange vows on during the ceremony! The ceremony location also boasts incredible views of Mount Shasta.
